The Feast of the Transfiguration
Our ancestors wove their Christian faith into everyday life, creating beautiful traditions that enriched the celebration of the Church’s feasts. This Thursday, August 6 at 10 AM, we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, one of the Twelve Great Feasts. On this day, it is a cherished Ukrainian tradition to bring fruits to be blessed as an offering of thanksgiving for God’s gifts and the harvest. Let us continue this beautiful tradition by bringing our baskets to be blessed after we celebrate Christ’s Transfiguration — a revelation of His divine glory.
